SUSAN M. ABRAMS, M.A. CCC-SLP

Susan M. Abrams, M.A.CCC-SLP is a pediatric Speech - Language Pathologist with over thirty years experience evaluating and treating children with speech and language disorders in Montgomery County, Maryland. She is certified by the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensed by the State of Maryland. She holds a Masters degree in Speech Pathology from Hofstra University and a Masters degree in Counseling from George Washington University. She maintains certification as a Neurodevelopmental (NDT) therapist servicing children with physical disabilities. She has presented at local and national conferences on topics which include social pragmatic language, augmentative communication, and pre-speech and feeding disorders. Ms Abrams has presented at the Social Thinking Providers Conference and has completed the mentor training program sponsored by Michelle Garcia Winner.

DR. DAVID BLACK, PEDIATRIC NEUROPSYCHOLOGIST

Dr. David Black is a licensed clinical psychologist and pediatric neuropsychologist. He is skilled in the assessment of a wide range of childhood neurological, psychiatric, developmental, and learning disorders and is an expert is in the diagnosis and neuropsychological assessment of children with autism spectrum disorders. Dr. Black is actively doing research examining adaptive and long term outcomes of children who have autism spectrum disorders. He regularly publishes and presents his research at professional conferences. Dr. Black received his Ph.D. from George Mason University, and completed his internship and postdoctoral training at the University of California Los Angeles. He has worked in a variety of settings including in private practice, specialty clinics, children's hospitals and research settings. He currently works at the National Institute of Mental Health conducting research with children who have autism and related disorders.

Ann Dolin is a former Fairfax County Public School teacher with 20 years of teaching and tutoring experience. Ann's undergraduate degree is in Child Psychology and she received her Master’s in Special Education from Boston College. Ann founded Educational Connections, Inc. in 1998 with the goal of providing individualized one-to-one instruction based on each student's learning style. Today, her company employs over 150 tutors, all of whom travel to students’ homes. Educational Connections serves the metropolitan D.C. area, and has worked with over 4,000 students. Ann currently sits on the board of the International Dyslexia Association as well as CHADD of Northern Virginia, which stands for Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Disorder.

Founder of Thinking Organized, Rhona M. Gordon is an ASHA certified speech and language pathologist with more than thirty years of experience recognizing and treating organization struggles and language-based difficulties in children and adults. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from New York University and M.S. in Speech and Language Pathology from Ithaca College. After spending several years teaching at the university level in New York and writing a curriculum for language-based classrooms, Rhona now devotes her time and energy helping people of all ages learn a unique way to think and work in an organized manner. Rhona is an award-winning author of the book Thinking Organized for Parents and Children and its accompanying workbook which empowers parents to help their disorganized student.

Randi Rosenblatt, MA, CCC-SLP is a Speech Language Pathologist with experience diagnosing and treating children with speech and language disorders. She currently practices at Early Intervention Therapists in Rockville, MD where she conducts individual therapy and facilitates social cognitive thinking groups. Randi has presented on social thinking at the Social Thinking Providers Conference and The Diamonds in the Rough Conference. She is certified with the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA), licensed in Maryland and has a Masters in Speech Language Pathology from the George Washington University.

Dr.Spector is a licensed psychologist with expertise in helping children, adolescents, and adults in individual and group therapy. He completed his postdoctoral training at Kingsbury Day School and has extensive experience in a large group private practice helping clients with ADHD, Learning disabilities, Autism and Asperger’s disorder, social skills deficits, anxiety and depression. Dr. Spector has a comprehensive knowledge of video games, computer games, and the Internet. He has helped many clients change how they use technology, so that they can lead more productive, balanced lives.
